Alternating Orange and Green LED on the GLO Series
The alternating of orange and green can potentially indicate that the GLO™ receiver has a faulty battery. However, it is important to verify that you are reading the Status LED sequence correctly, as the status may not actually indicate a faulty battery. An alternating orange and green Status LED can indicate one of two things:
Searching for Satellites while Charging
The Status LED on your Garmin GLO is blinking Green and Orange simultaneously or out of sequence. For example, Green > Green > Orange. The Garmin GLO receiver will continue to search for satellites even while it is charging.
Faulty Battery or System Error
If the Status LED on your Garmin GLO receiver is blinking Green and Orange one at a time in an alternating pattern. For example, Green > Orange > Green > Orange.
If you are experiencing the Faulty Battery LED sequence you can try these options to resolve the issue:
Removing the battery:
Disconnect the GLO receiver from any power source.
Power off the GLO.
Remove the battery.
Let the GLO receiver sit without a battery for a minute.
Replace the battery.
Power on the GLO receiver.
Update the software. For instructions, see - How to Install Updates to the Garmin GLO Series.
