Marking and Deleting Waypoints on an eTrex 10/20/20x/22x/30/30x/32x

There are different ways you can mark and delete waypoints on the eTrex® 10, 20, 20x, 22x, 30, 30x, and 32x outdoor handhelds. Steps for each of these is below.

NOTE: When using the Waypoint Manager, the keyboard may appear to cover the list of waypoints if sorting is set to Alphabetical. Press Back in order to hide the keyboard, then press Menu and select Sort if you wish to change the sorting method.

Marking a Waypoint From the Menu

1. Press Menu twice to reach the main menu.

2. Select Mark Waypoint.

3. Coordinates and information for the current location will display.

   • From this page, the following fields can be edited: Symbol, Name, Note, Location, Elevation.

     1. Use the Thumb Stick™ button¹ to highlight and select the desired field.

     2. Select Done within the keypad to save changes.

4. Select Done or Save at the bottom to save the waypoint.

You can find the saved waypoint in the Waypoint Manager.

Marking a Waypoint Using the Map

1. Press Menu twice to reach the main menu.

2. Select Map.

3. Use the Thumb Stick¹ to move the cursor to a location on the map.

4. Press the Thumb Stick in to select.

   • More than one option may display. Select an option from the list.

5. Press Menu.

6. Select Save as Waypoint.

7. A confirmation will display that the waypoint was successfully saved. Select OK.

You can find the saved waypoint in the Waypoint Manager.

Marking a Waypoint at Specific Coordinates

1. Press Menu twice to reach the main menu.

2. Select Mark Waypoint.

3. Edit the waypoint information such as the name and notes if necessary. (Optional).

4. Select Location.

5. Change the latitude and longitude to your specific coordinates.

6. Select Done.

7. Select Done again to save the waypoint.

Deleting an Individual Waypoint

1. Press Menu twice to reach the main menu.

2. Select Waypoint Manager.

3. Select a waypoint.

   • Use the Thumb Stick¹ to highlight and select the desired waypoint.

4. Press Menu.

5. Select Delete.

6. Select Yes or Delete to confirm.

The selected waypoint should now be removed from the Waypoint Manager.

Deleting All Waypoints

1. Press Menu twice to reach the main menu.

2. Select Waypoint Manager.

3. Press Menu.

4. Select Delete All.

5. Select Yes or Delete to confirm.

All of the waypoints should now be removed from the Waypoint Manager, indicated by "No Results Found" being displayed on the screen.
