Garmin Connect in Safari fails to export activities as CSV files

Activities in Garmin Connect can be exported and downloaded as CSV files. Currently, Safari has issues downloading these CSV files. Instead of downloading the file, Safari opens a web page displaying the data contained in the CSV.

To export the data:

  • Manually download the file in Safari
    1. Right-click the option to Export to CSV (bottom-right of activities table)
      • Hold Ctrl + click to perform a right-click on a mouse with a single button
    2. Click Download Linked File
    3. Save the file
  • Use an alternate supported browser
    • Internet Explorer (Windows only)
    • Firefox (Mac OS X and Windows)
    • Chrome (Mac OS X and Windows)

The CSV file should now be saved to Downloads.
