Apple: Navionics Boating App is Not Tracking Properly When Running in the Background
If you are running current versions of iOS and are experiencing an issue with the Navionics® Boating app not tracking properly when running in the background, check your device settings.
Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh. Turn this option ON and make sure the Navionics Boating app has access when running in the background.
Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and make sure the option is turned ON and the Navionics app has access "While Using the App" or "Always". You can always completely kill the app from running in the background by swiping up from the bottom of your screen and pausing slightly (or double-tapping your Home button), then swiping left or right to find the app you want to close and swiping up the app's preview to close it.
