Track Syncing on the Garmin Explore Website
When on the Map page of the Garmin Explore™ website, an Important Update pop up may appear:
Tracks created in the field will have a symbol for the track that appears on the map, and will not sync to other devices. Tracks that can be synced to other devices will have a
symbol for the track.
This change was implemented as a way to help remove the clutter of tracks sent to the MapShare™ page, or tracks manually imported into the Garmin Explore website from the inReach® device or the Garmin Explore app when they sync with the Garmin Explore website.
To sync one of these tracks to the Garmin Explore app or compatible inReach devices, it needs to be converted using the steps below. This feature is not compatible with the Earthmate® app or the devices it is compatible with (inReach Original, inReach SE®, inReach Explorer®, inReach SE+/Explorer+ and inReach Mini).
NOTE: Date and time stamps will be displayed using the time zone your computer or mobile device is set to, which may differ from date and time provided by the handheld device.
Changing a Track to Allow it to Sync
Sign in to the Garmin Explore website.
Select Map from the top.
From the Library on the left-hand panel, select Tracks.
Select the desired track from the list.
Select the Convert option next to the track name.
Select Convert to Track.
Select Enable Syncing.
The track should now have the triangle icon instead, indicating it has been converted:
If the track does not sync, see - Transfer User Data To and From the Garmin Explore Website
The track should be transferred to the device or app once they are synced. For more information on how to sync, see Related.
