What Is the Difference Between Corning Gorilla Glass DX and Sapphire Crystal Lens?
Corning Gorilla Glass DX is designed to be scratch-resistant, but it is not as durable as the sapphire crystal lens. The sapphire crystal lens is incredibly durable. It is the third hardest mineral, right behind diamond, and as a result, the lens is much harder to scratch than glass. Note that while the sapphire crystal lens can be very difficult to scratch, it is still not scratchproof.
What Mapping Is Preloaded on the epix Pro?
The epix Pro comes preloaded with popular ski resort maps and more than 42,000 golf courses. TopoActive maps for your local region come preloaded on the watch. Additional region coverage can be downloaded with Map Manager over Wi-Fi to add routable streets and off-road networks.
How Does the Touchscreen Work?
The epix Pro comes with a touchscreen interface for quick access to selections and functions. Button controls are also available for all functions, and with default settings, both touch and button interactions are available during general use. By default, touch interaction will be temporarily disabled while an activity is in progress.
What Is the Built in LED Flashlight?
Built into the top of the watch is an LED flashlight. You can select different brightness levels of white light, or a red safety light. The flashlight also allows to you to set strobe patterns and customize the settings for use during activities, allowing greater visibility for you and for other people to see you.
What Is the Hill Score Feature?
This feature measures your capability for running uphill and evaluates your progress over time based on your VO2 Max estimate and training history. It measures your running strength on steep ascents and running endurance on long ascents and provides a score based on your performance over time.
What Is the Endurance Score Feature?
This feature measures your ability to sustain prolonged efforts and combines training data from all your athletic pursuits to help you understand how training impacts your overall endurance. This dynamic measurement uses your VO2 Max estimate, short-term and long-term training loads, and other factors to gauge your fitness progress beyond just VO2 Max.
