Instructions to Sync Deezer Content to a vivoactive 3 Music (Verizon)

This article will provide the following steps to use the Deezer application downloaded from the Connect IQ™ store on your vívoactive® 3 Music.

Requirements

The following are requirements to use the Deezer app with the vívoactive 3 Music:

  • vívoactive 3 Music (Verizon) needs to be paired to your smartphone through the Garmin Connect™ app.

  • vívoactive 3 Music (Verizon) needs to be set up to connect to a 4G LTE Network.

  • A Deezer Premium Subscription is required. For help see Deezer's Website.

The three steps listed below need to be completed when first setting up the Deezer app with your vívoactive 3 Music (Verizon). Once complete, you will only need to follow the third step when you want to load additional content to your watch.

Step 1: Download and Install the Deezer Connect IQ App

NOTE: Free 90-day trials were a limited time offer. All codes expired March 30, 2019.

  1. Select the following link to download the app: Deezer Connect IQ App.

  2. Select Arrow next to download button.

  3. If prompted, sign into your Garmin account.

  4. Select your device to download the app.

  5. Acknowledge any app permission requests.

  6. Sync your device.

    • Sync via Bluetooth®: Be in range of your paired smartphone, press and hold the key to access the Controls Menu. Select Two curved arrows in a circle to sync.

    • Sync via 4G LTE: Press and hold the key to access the Controls Menu. Select Two curved arrows in a circle to sync.

    • Sync using the Garmin Express™ program: Connect device using supplied power/data cable to computer. Open Garmin Express. Sync will automatically occur once device is detected. 

The Deezer app will now be installed onto your device.


Step 2: Setup the Deezer Connect IQ App

NOTE: Device must be able to connect to 4G LTE network. You will also need your smartphone that is paired to your device through the Garmin Connect App.

  1. From the vívoactive 3 Music (Verizon) swipe to the Music widget.

  2. Select Three dots and then Manage.

  3. Select Music Providers.

  4. Select Deezer.

    • The watch will connect to 4G LTE.

  5. Once connected, the vívoactive 3 Music (Verizon) will display a message to Open Garmin Connect app to sign in. At the same time, your smartphone should display a notification similar to:

  6. Acknowledge message on the phone which will take you to Deezer. Depending on whether you have an account, the login process will be as follows:

    • Existing Users: Enter your login details and select Log In.

    • New User: Tap the Register here button, and follow the steps to create your account. 

  7. If prompted, enter credit card details to complete the process.


Step 3: Syncing Music to the vívoactive 3 Music (Verizon)

NOTE: Device must be able to connect to 4G LTE network.

  1. From your Deezer account, create playlists. Saved playlists will display as optional music to sync on your device. For more information see Deezer Support.

  2. From the vívoactive 3 Music (Verizon) swipe to the Music Playback Controls widget.

  3. Select Three dots and then Manage.

  4. Select Music Providers.

  5. Select Deezer.

  6. Select My Playlists.

  7. Choose playlists you want to sync to your watch.

  8. Exit by swiping back until you see the message "Ready to sync?". Select Yes to begin syncing music.

The amount of time required to sync music will depend on the number of songs being syncing, and the quality of the 4G LTE signal.
