Testing for Continuity on a Garmin GST 43 Thru-Hull Speed / Temperature Transducer on a Nexus server

If the Nexus displays are showing no speed or temperature readings when a Garmin GST 43 Thru-Hull Speed / Temperature is connected, there are a few points on the Nexus server that can be tested for continuity of the transducer. A volt meter will be needed to test the transducer on the server.

With the system powered on:

1. With the volt meter probes on the green and screen / GND ports, there should be a reading of 12V showing its getting battery voltage

2. With the volt meter probes on the yellow and screen / GND, the reading should switch between 0V and 5V when the paddlewheel is slowly turned, and an average reading of 2.5V when the wheel spins

3. With the volt meter probes on the white and screen / GND, there should be a reading of 2V depending on the temperature of the water
