When Does Information on my Watch Face Update?

The watch faces included with your Garmin watch are optimized to save battery life and will update certain information in intervals. The time between when information updates varies by product and the type of data. Some of the information that is not updated in real time includes but is not limited to:

• Heart rate

• Elevation

• Weather

• Seconds

• Other items

Is It Normal for My Seconds to Disappear?

The seconds hand or digital display can disappear from your watch face to save battery life. The time it takes to disappear varies by product line and takes into account overall battery consumption. Some watches will restore seconds when movement is detected. Also, switching to a different screen and then returning to the watch face will restore the seconds display.
