Discrepancies in Depth Data Displayed in Vision and on the Sounder

The depth data is displayed as it comes from the sensor. Check if the sounder is applying an offset on the sonar display.

Connect the XB using the vmAIS PC utility and observe the NMEA sentences under the 'Serial Data' tab of vmAIS. The 'DPT' sentence will have the depth data Example: $AIDPT,3.4,0.0,,*4F

The depth is 3.4 meters in the above example.

Download vmAIS utility from the product software section. The utility is available for both Windows and Mac. After downloading and installing, establish a connection to the XB through USB, serial, or WiFi.
