On The Water Map Information for Colorado Series Devices

Colorado® series outdoor handhelds are compatible with the BlueChart® g2 and Garmin LakeVü ™ HD maps. BlueChart g2 is the recommended mapping for coastal navigation.

The Colorado 300 handheld is not preloaded with any maps. By adding the mapping from the computer, the device will be able to display the details without any changes to the settings.

The Colorado 400t, 400i, and 400c handhelds are preloaded with mapping. If the BlueChart g2 or Garmin Lakes maps are loaded to the device using an SD card, the preloaded mapping of the device will need to be turned off before the new mapping can be viewed.

Follow the steps below to turn off the preloaded mapping on the device:

  1. Power ON the Colorado handheld.
  2. Press the Top Left button labeled Options.
  3. Turn the Rocker Wheel to highlight Select Map and press the Middle button on the Rocker Wheel.
  4. Highlight the preloaded map by using the Rocker Wheel.
    1. On the Colorado 400c handheld, highlight US Marine Detail g2i.
    2. On the Colorado 400i handheld, highlight US Inland Detail Map with Imagery.
    3. On the Colorado 400t handheld, highlight TOPO  US 2008.
  5. Press the middle button on the Rocker Wheel to turn off the selected map.

Once the preloaded mapping has been turned off, the mapping that was previously transferred to the device will appear correctly.
