Garmin Drive App Compatibility and Availability

The Garmin Drive™ app is an application available from the Google Play Store for Android devices and the Apple App Store for Apple devices. Once paired, it expands the features of a compatible automotive device by allowing the device to use your smartphone's services with minimal data usage.

Requirements:

Android phones and tablets require Android version 9.0 or later:

• Wi-Fi and Cellular capability are required for full functionality
• The Garmin Drive app will not be available in the Google Play Store if the app is incompatible with the device being used
• Trying to install the app to an incompatible device from the Garmin website will prompt this error message: "Your device isn't compatible with this version"

Apple phones and tablets require iOS 16.4 or later:

• Wi-Fi and Cellular capability are required for full functionality
• Apple only includes the GPS chipset in the Wi-Fi + Cellular models

There is no limit to the number of navigation devices you can pair to the Garmin Drive app, but only one can be connected at a time. 

Garmin Dash Cam devices have a limit of 4 paired and connected at once, plus you can have one navigation device connected.
