Clearing the Current Track or Clearing the Current Activity

Most Garmin outdoor handhelds are designed to record track points when powered on and connected to satellites. This is by design, to allow you to simply power the device on and begin your activity.

If you need to clear the current track or activity for any reason, follow the steps for your specific device model below.

NOTE: If Recording Controls, Track Manager, or Tracking is missing from the menu, see - Options Are Missing From the Main Menu on My Outdoor Handheld.

Dakota™ 10 or 20 Outdoor Handheld

Select Track Manager from the main menu.
Select Current Track.
Select Clear Current Track.
Select Yes.

eTrex® 10, 20, 20x, 22x, 30, 30x, or 32x Outdoor Handheld

Select Track Manager from the main menu.
Select Current Track.
Select Clear Current Track.
Select Yes.

eTrex® SE or Solar Outdoor Handheld

From the main menu, select Tracking.
Select .
Select Tracking Controls.
Select Discard.
Select Discard again.

eTrex® Touch 25, 35, or 35t Outdoor Handheld

From the app drawer, select Track Manager.
Select Current Activity.
Select .
Select .
Select Clear.

GPSMAP® 62, 62s, 62sc, 62st, or 62stc Outdoor Handheld

Press MENU twice to access the main menu.
Select Track Manager.
Select Current Track.
Select Clear Current Track.
Select Yes or Clear.

Press MENU twice to access the main menu.
Select Track Manager.
Select Current Track.
Select Clear Current Track.
Select Yes.

Select Track Manager.
Select Current Track.
Select Clear Current Track.
Select Yes.

Press MENU twice to access the main menu.
Select Recording Controls.
Select .
Select Discard.
Select Clear.

Press MENU twice to access the main menu.
Select Recording Controls.
Select .
Select Discard.
Toggle the items you with to clear.
Select Apply.

Montana® 600, 600t, 650, or 650t Outdoor Handheld

Select Track Manager from the main menu.
Select Current Track.
Select Clear Current Track.
Select Clear.

Montana® 610, 610t, 680, or 680t Outdoor Handheld

From the main menu, select Track Manager.
Select Current Track.
Select .

Select to access the main menu.
Select Recording Controls.

Toggle the items you wish to clear.
Select Apply.
