Why is the Color of My Charts in the Navionics Boating App so Dark?

The Navionics® charting should show the land in a yellowish color and the water will be in shades of blue in the shallow waters to white in the deeper water (depending upon what your depth shading setting and map color mode selection).

You may see the land and some of the water in different colors if you have the Overlay function turned on. To turn these overlays off, select Menu, then Map Options, and select No Overlay. 

You may also see the maps darker if you have not yet downloaded them to your device. If this is the case, you can download sections of mapping by going to Menu > Download Maps, or zooming into the area to 1NM or lower.
