1The “default” watch face is the watch face present on the device when it is taken out of the box.  The Forerunner 265 products are designed to work with a variety of native watch faces as well as compatible Connect IQ watch faces.  The usage of watch faces other than the default watch face may impact the battery life experienced in smartwatch mode.

2 This device utilizes an ambient light sensor to automatically adjust the display brightness to an acceptable level depending upon the level of ambient light. Using the device outdoors in bright environments may reduce battery life.

3 The average number of hours per day of sleep is determined by the user-configured bed and wake times (a "sleep period"), not the number of hours the user actually sleeps. During this sleep period, the device's display is turned off. As a result, setting a shorter sleep period may decrease the battery life experienced in display always on mode.
