Mounting the VIRB 360 Upside Down to Record Video

The VIRB® 360 can record video while mounted upside down. The VIRB® Edit Program can correct the video's orientation.

  • Video can be stabilized regardless of camera orientation.

  • Inertial and Orientation data will be relative to the camera's normal orientation.

  • Gauges showing G-Force or Compass Heading will appear inconsistent with stabilized video if the video orientation is upside down.

  • VIRB Edit's Stabilize Only or Follow Path can be used to automatically correct the video orientation.

  • Video can be manually flipped using the Rotate 180° option in the Editing tab.
