Managing inReach Contacts on the GPSMAP 66i/67i/86i/86sci

With an active inReach subscription you can send messages to an email address, phone number, or an inReach address.

Contacts for the GPSMAP 66i/67i/86i/86sci can be entered manually on the handheld, the Garmin Explore app, or the Garmin Explore website.

See below for steps on manually entering or deleting contacts on the handheld.

Manually Entering Contacts

1. Press MENU twice to access the main menu.
2. Select Setup.
3. Select Contacts.
4. Select New Contact.
5. Select an item to edit.
6. Enter the new information and select Done when finished.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to enter additional contact details.
8. Select Save when finished.

The contact should now be saved in the Contacts list.

Syncing your handheld with the Garmin Explore app will upload any new or edited contact information to the app and also to your account on the Garmin Explore website.

Deleting Contacts

1. Press MENU twice to access the main menu.
2. Select Setup.
3. Select Contacts.
4. Select the contact to delete.
5. Press MENU.
6. Select Delete Contact.
