Reporting Garmin® Marine Chart Errors

Garmin® charts utilize survey data and information from several agencies, including NOAA, local governments, principalities, etc., to build charts. There may be an occasion when something is not reported correctly or missed before releasing a new mapping version. New charts release twice a year, typically in late winter and again in late summer or autumn. Reporting chart errors, missing data, or new features along with position coordinates and screenshots helps improve charts and aids in making these changes sooner rather than later. The information provided in the map error report is a valuable tool for the cartography team. Highly detailed descriptions help resolve the error.

Examples of a Map Error
