vivoactive Not Displaying Charging Icon When Using an AC Adapter
The vivoactive is provided with a USB charging cable to can be connected to a USB port or an AC adapter to charge. If you connect your vivoactive to an AC adapter1 and do not see a charging icon appear it is likely that your device is in Garmin mode2.
Mass Storage Mode:
Press Action key (right button).
Select Settings.
Select System.
Select USB Mode.
Select Mass Storage.
Your vivoactive will now charge when connected an AC adapter and will be recognized as a Mass Storage device when connected to a USB port.
1If charging the device using an AC adapter, Garmin recommends using an AC adapter manufactured by Garmin to ensure compatibility.
2The vivoactive will still charge just not display the charging percentage or charging icon.
