Dock-to-dock Route Guidance
IMPORTANT: Dock-to-dock Route Guidance is for planning purposes only and does not replace safe navigation operations.
Before using, from your Home screen go to Customize to enter your Boat Settings.
Select Build Route from the chart context menu or the Navigate menu. The Build Route menu is displayed.
Select Dock-to-dock Route Guidance so that On is selected.
Select the position on the Chart where you want the route or route leg to start.
Select the position of the Chart where you want the route or route leg to end. The system will try to automatically calculate the shortest safe route between the 2 points. If the automatic route generation completes successfully the calculated route is displayed.
Subsequent route legs can be added by selecting the desired location on the chart.
When your route is complete select Finish Build. The Finish Route Build warning is displayed.
Follow = Immediately start following the generated route. Edit = Display the route in the Route List. Exit = Complete the route and close the Build Route menu.
NOTE: Dock-to-dock Route Guidance will not create a route when the start or end point is in an unsafe area (such as on land).
