Chrysler UConnect Navigation Software or Map Update Not Progressing or Installing Properly

Follow the steps below if an error message such as "PND Did Not Update" is received or the software or map update freezes on a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or RAM vehicle.

NOTE: It may take up to 15 minutes to begin when starting the software and map installation processes.

  • Verify you have generated the unlock code and it was entered into the vehicle properly.

  • Verify the engine is running during the update.

  • Disconnect any Bluetooth devices (phones) which may interrupt the update.

  • Ensure the map update instructions which were included with the update purchase are being followed in the correct order.

    • Some update kits include both an Information Guide and an Activation Guide.

    • Follow the instructions in the Information Guide first until it refers to the Activation Guide.

  • Verify the update card is unlocked see Verifying a Chrysler Uconnect Update SD Card is in the Unlock Position for instructions on unlocking the card.

  • Power cycle/Sleep cycle the vehicle.

To Power Cycle/Sleep Cycle the Vehicle:

      • The fob will need to be removed from the proximity of the vehicle if it has a keyless ignition system.

2. Open and close the driver's door

3. Make sure all vehicle lights are off

4. Wait at least 5 minutes

5. Start the vehicle
