Create a Route on a StreetPilot 2700, 2800, or 7000 Series

The StreetPilot 2700, 2800, and 7000 series devices allow you to create multiple stop routes.

To create a route, follow the steps below:

1. Touch Tools on the main menu
2. Touch My Data
3. Touch Routes
4. Touch Create New Saved Route
5. Touch the method you would like to use for finding the route's starting point then touch Next
6. Once the desired start point has been located, touch Select
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to set a final destination
8. If you would like to add intermediate destination points between the starting and ending points, touch Yes then touch Next
   • You may add up to 200 total points to any given saved route
9. Once the desired number of intermediate destination points has been added, touch No when asked if you want to add another point then touch Next
10. Touch the desired option for sorting the entered points for the shortest distance then touch Next
    • Don't Sort: The device will calculate a route using the start point as your first stop, the final destination as the final stop, and all the intermediate points in the order in which they were entered
    • Sort All Destination Points: All points will be reordered for the shortest route. When this option is selected, the starting and ending points may be moved
    • Sort Only Intermediate Destination Points:  Only intermediate points will be reordered. When this option is selected, the entered starting and ending points will remain in their positions
11. Touch the route calculation preference for the saved route: Faster Time, Shorter Distance, or Off Road
12. Touch Next and the route will be calculated and displayed on the map screen as a preview
13. Touch Finish to confirm and save the route

Once a route has been saved, you may edit or delete it by returning to the Routes menu (steps 1-3 above) then following these steps:

1. Touch Edit/Review Routes
2. Touch the route you would like to edit or delete
3. Touch Edit
4. Select the desired option
   • Rename: Customize the name of the route as it appears in the Routes menu
   • Edit/Review Points: This option allows you to add, remove, or review points along the route. You may also rearrange the points either automatically or manually by selecting this option
   • Change Preference: Have the device recalculate the route using a different route calculation preference: Faster Time, Shorter Distance, or Off Road
   • Delete Route: Permanently removes the route from the saved routes menu

You may create and save up to 50 routes on your StreetPilot.
