BaseCamp installation fails "Apple cannot check for malicious software" Message
The installation failure occurs due to new security features implemented with macOS 10.15 Catalina. We are working to resolve this issue but if you want to get BaseCamp™ software download use the workaround.
Install BaseCamp software after the installation fails:
- Go to Location of BaseCamp download PKG File
- Right click on the PKG icon
- Note: Press the Control button and left click if the right click is not an option
- Highlight Open With
- Select Installer
- When the message appears again click Open
The installation instructions will continue as normal. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete BaseCamp program installation.
