Viewing the Map at Different Zoom Levels on your Outdoor Handheld

The level of detail shown on the map of your outdoor handheld will depend on your current zoom level.

As you zoom out on the map, less detail is displayed to prevent the map from becoming cluttered and difficult to read. As you zoom in on the map, more detail is displayed such as trails, parks, points of interest, and topographic elevation contours.

In the example below, the same area on the map is less detailed in the image on the left as it is zoomed out to 0.3mi, and the image on the right shows more map detail as it is zoomed in to 0.2mi.
