BarkLimiter 2 and BarkLimiter 2VT Software Update

Software for your BarkLimiter™ 2 or BarkLimiter™ 2VT bark correction collar should be kept up-to-date in order to take advantage of improvements and bug fixes. Updates are free and easy to install. To update the software on your device, please utilize the instructions below:

Garmin Canine™ App

Garmin Canine app will notify you if there is an update available for your BarkLimiter collar. You can choose to update the device at that time or dismiss the update and wait for a more convenient time. When allowing the software update for the BarkLimiter collar to take place please ensure it is kept in close proximity to the mobile device. Having the device connected to the computer via the charging cable will allow for a faster download of the update but it can still take up to 20 minutes for the update to complete depending on your mobile devices internet connection.  Below are the steps to take to follow through the update.

1. When prompted to do the update, Select Install Now
   
   • Ensure BarkLimiter 2 device is near, and if possible, plugged into a computer for faster installation
2. Once update is complete, Select OK

If you choose to dismiss the update and want to update at a later time you can return to the BarkLimiter collar's profile in the My Family section of the Garmin Canine App. Select the dogs name and choose to update.

1. Open the Garmin Canine App
2. Select Menu
3. Select My Family
4. Select the desired family
5. Select the desired dog
6. Select Check for Updates
7. Follow the onscreen prompts (images listed in above steps)

Note: You must use the Garmin Canine App to update the BarkLimiter 2 or BarkLimiter 2VT collar. You cannot use the Garmin Express™ program.
