Understanding and Using the Respiration Widget on the MARQ Collection

The Respiration Widget1 will display your breaths per minute. This is measured by using your HRV (Heart Rate Variability) as measured by the heart rate sensor of your watch.2 You can use this widget to track your breathing all day, or while sleeping.

The average respiration rate while resting is between 12-20 BRPM (Breaths Per Minute). During activities, BRPM can be much higher, between 40-50 BRPM.

1 Requires software version 5.10 or later.

2 Activity or movement can impact the ability of your watch to read HRV using the OHR (Optical Heart Rate) sensor and will result in the watch not being able to read your breaths per minute. For this reason, an HRM-Pro™, HRM-Run™, HRM-Tri™, or HRM-Dual™ heart rate monitor is required to capture respiration data during an activity.
