Pairing a Garmin Dash Cam with Multiple Phones

Your Garmin Dash Cam device has the ability to be paired using the Garmin Drive app on multiple phones.

NOTE: Pairing is not possible when actively connected to another phone.

While actively connected to multiple phones, the ability to connect to Wi-Fi to view the Live View is limited to one phone at a time.

If you get an error message in the Garmin Drive app (shown below), you'll need to:

  1. Disconnect the dash cam from the phone it's currently paired to (you can just turn off the phone or toggle Bluetooth off).
  2. Then, pair to the other phone.
  3. Once paired to the second phone, turn on the Bluetooth or power on the first phone.
  4. The dash cam will then show as paired on both phones.

Drive App Messages:

"Your Dash Cam is connected to a different mobile device."

DC is connected to a different phone

  • These connection messages may also occur when the Garmin Drive app sees that there was a previous successful connection to a different phone or previous failed pairing to any phone.
  • If Continue does not lead to a successful pairing, see the Level 2 or 3 steps linked here: Bluetooth Garmin Dash Cam and Garmin Drive App Troubleshooting.
