Roll Axis or 2nd Axis Adjustments for the Xero A1i PRO

Adjusting the roll axis, or 2nd axis, will tilt the Xero® A1i PRO slightly left or slightly right so that all pins are perfectly vertical when the bow is braced at full draw in a vertical bow vise or brace. Even minute change in the roll axis can require taring of the digital level, and adjustments or resets of the bubble level. The Xero A1i PRO will be set nominally at the factory.

Adjusting the Roll Axis

NOTE: For best results, adjust the roll axis on your bow sight after mounting it to your bow.

  1. While mounted within a bow vice, hold the bow vertically in place.
  2. Ensure it is level from the sight plane of the bow riser and the windage block of the Xero A1i PRO bow sight.
  3. Use a 3.5mm hex wrench to loosen the two screws (Circled 1) at the back of the bow sight.

  4. Adjust the Roll Axis until the levels from Step 2 indicate the same measurement.
  5. Tighten the the screws back down to 2.2N (20 lbf-in).
  6. If needed, Tare the Digital level and or adjust the Bubble Level.

NOTE: It is possible for the bow's sight plane to shift from vertical at rest to canted at full draw due to riser flex. If this happens, you can redo this process with the bow safely at full draw with the use of a draw board.

Taring the Digital Level

With the bow sight securely mounted to your bow, the digital level should display 0 when the box is level, otherwise you may need to tare the digital level.

  1. Select Settings Menu.
  2. Select Level.
  3. Select Set Level to Zero.
  4. Hold the bow level.
  5. Press OK.
  6. If needed, adjust the Bubble Level to be centered when the Digital Level reads 0.

Adjusting the Bubble Level

The Xero A1i PRO has a built-in digital level and a physical bubble level. Both levels should match. If they do not, you can adjust the position of the bubble level.

  1. Select Settings Menu.
  2. Select Level.
  3. Select View Gauge.
  4. Hold the bow level until the display shows 0.
  5. Loosen the two screws on each side of the Bubble Level by 1/4 turn.
  6. Adjust the Bubble Level until the bubble is centered and the digital display shows 0.
  7. Tighten the two screws back into place.
