Issues Installing Certain Garmin Applications on Mac OS X
Some Garmin applications may fail to install on Mac OS X because they are blocked by Gatekeeper. Gatekeeper is a collection of security features designed to protect Macs against malware.
When Gatekeeper blocks an application, a Mac may display messages including the terms: unidentified developer, unverified developer, malicious developer, malicious software, software not signed/notarized, app not from app store, app is damaged, or app will damage computer. These warning messages are examples.
To Install an Application Blocked by Gatekeeper:
1. Ensure that the application was downloaded from Garmin.com and not a 3rd-party website
2. Open the downloaded .dmg file for the program
3. Press and hold the Ctrl key and click the package file displayed in the new window
4. Select Open from the menu
5. Follow the prompts to install the application
