Importing GPX Files into BaseCamp and Transferring the Data to a Garmin Automotive Device
GPX files can come from a variety of sources and contain data such as routes, tracks, waypoints, and geocaches. These files can be imported into BaseCamp™ software application to review on a computer and then transferred to a compatible automotive GPS device.
NOTE: When using the Tread® GPS Navigator and all models in the Tread® series, it is recommended to use the Tread® App for managing waypoints, routes, and tracks. BaseCamp software can be used to manage waypoints and tracks, but BaseCamp does not support route creation for the Tread devices.
To Import a GPX File into BaseCamp:
Click on the File drop-down menu
Click Import...
Browse to the GPX file location from the Import File window
Click open for Windows or import for Mac
Once the GPX file has been loaded you should then be able to transfer the data contained within to your GPS device.
