Types of Audio That can be Received Through a Bluetooth Headset

A wireless Bluetooth headset can be paired to your automotive device to receive audio from your device while navigating.

Your Device can Receive the Following Audio Prompts Through a Bluetooth Headset:

  • Navigation Prompts - Navigation prompts such as "Turn left in 500 feet" will be played in your headset.

  • Phone Calls - Phone audio will be played through the headset whenever you receive a phone call as long as your phone and headset are both paired to the device.

  • Music - Your device can receive mp3 / media audio through a Bluetooth headset.

    • Any audio played through the various media source options on the mp3 or media player on your device will play through the headset, as long as the two are paired.

NOTE: When you have a headset paired to some devices, you will not be able to control the volume using the paired phone. This also applies to any secondary Garmin devices that are paired as well.

The device will let you know that "a Bluetooth headset is currently connected. Use the headset controls (or the audio mixer/settings) to adjust the volume."
