Garmin Active Tracks Showing Broken Track Lines

Broken lines on the Active Track line are caused by leaving the Active Track recordings running while the boat is not in motion. The natural GPS error will cause the line to move and create those broken sections. The natural GPS error will cause the track line to wander as the GPS satellites move in orbit. To avoid the spider webbing of the Active Track line, turn the Active Tracking off when sitting still and back on when moving again; this will help avoid the broken segments on the track line.
