My Fitness Sensors Disconnect
The ANT+ and Bluetooth® frequency for Garmin® devices broadcast at 2.4 GHz. When using a sensor that pairs with your Garmin device via ANT+ or Bluetooth, it is possible to lose connection or experience signal problems. If you find that your Garmin device is unable to pair with your ANT+ or Bluetooth accessory or is losing connection, there are potential causes for wireless signal interference when using these sensors. This includes but is not limited to:
Possible Causes of Interference
Electrical interference from nearby transmission power lines.
Electrical interference from computer monitors, televisions, etc.
Signal Interference from common household items such as Wi-Fi® routers, cordless phones, microwave ovens, etc.
Troubleshooting Pairing or Performance Issues
Eliminate potential interference by moving your fitness equipment away from the above-mentioned items. If your space allows, try a different room.
Activate the ANT+ or Bluetooth accessory within the setup menu of your Garmin device (see your Garmin device's owner's manual for instructions).
Restart the scan for your ANT+ or Bluetooth accessory from your Garmin device.
Change the battery in your ANT+ or Bluetooth accessory, if applicable. Wait at least 30 seconds after the old battery is removed before installing a new battery.
Ensure your ANT+ and Bluetooth accessories are mounted or being worn correctly.
NOTE: Heart rate monitors bundled with the purchase of your Garmin device will come paired to the device from the factory.
