Charging Information for the Rino 500 or 600 Series

The Rino® 500 and 600 series handhelds feature a USB connection. This connection can be used to transfer user data or mapping between the device and the computer. While these devices utilize a USB connection, they are unable to charge the battery via this port.

The Rino 500 series handhelds will only charge the battery when connected via the charging clip. The Rino 600 series handhelds will draw power through the USB connection, but will only charge the battery when connected via the two-pin connector. Utilizing the correct connection can help insure the battery is properly charged when needed. 

It is recommended to charge the battery for an hour, even if the display does not show the device charging, before determining that the battery is no longer functioning as intended.
