Pairing the Montana 710i/760i for the inReach Remote Widget
Some non-inReach Garmin products have the ability to pair with the Montana® 710i and Montana® 760i outdoor handhelds to use some of the inReach® satellite communication features they offer.
Even though both devices need to be in close proximity (10ft) to each other, it can be helpful to strap your inReach device on your pack or person, and then use your smaller non-inReach device for messaging, SOS, etc.
This article walks you through the process of getting these devices paired together.
