Unable to Pair a Collar to the Alpha 200 Plus or Alpha 300 Series Dog Tracking Handheld

If you are having problems pairing a dog tracking collar with the Alpha® 200 Plus or an Alpha® 300 series dog tracking handheld, there are a few basic items you should check. 

For steps on pairing your Alpha handheld with a dog tracking collar, see your owner's manual.

• The detachable antenna must be connected to the handheld.
   
• Make sure you are releasing the button on the collar immediately after putting it in pairing mode. Starting the process is time-sensitive and holding the button too long will cause the collar to exit the pairing mode.
• If possible make sure that no other wireless items are in the area and broadcasting as they can cause interference.
• The collar must be compatible with the Alpha 200 Plus or Alpha 300 handheld.

• Update the software to your handheld and collar.

• Make sure that you do not have conflicting IDs by deactivating devices that are currently not in use.
