Dexcom Data Is Not Updating or Displaying on My Garmin Product

If your Garmin® device is not updating or it is not displaying data taken by your Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring system (CGM), confirm the following:

  • You have an active internet connection on your smartphone and it is capable of sending and receiving data.

  • Both the Dexcom CGM system and your Garmin device are within in Bluetooth® range of your smartphone.

  • Both the Garmin Connect™ app and Dexcom CGM apps on your smartphone are open and running in the background. Closing either of the apps can cause Dexcom data to not flow to your Garmin device.

  • Confirm sharing is enabled in the Dexcom CGM app on your phone. This can sometimes be disabled by accident due to the user acceptance and agreement policy not being accepted properly during the set up of the Connect IQ™ application:

    1. Open the Dexcom CGM app on your phone.

    2. Select Connections at the bottom, select Share.

    3. Toggle Sharing on.

      • If it was already on, try toggling it off and then back on.

    4. You may need to wait up to 5 minutes for data to refresh.

IMPORTANT: You will also need to add one follower in the Dexcom app after you have enabled sharing.
