Synthetic Vision on the G500 TXi

The G500 TXi™ display comes with 10 hours of the SVT™ feature pre-loaded so that new owners may test it out. Once demo hours expire, if you wish to continue using Synthetic Vision, there is a feature enablement that must be purchased through an authorized Garmin Dealer, or in FlyGarmin.com.

To purchase the enablement in Fly.Garmin.com, go to the "Devices" tab. Once you have added your G500 TXi with its System ID, select the G500 TXi by clicking on it. Scroll down and click on "Buy Enablement" within the Feature Enablements section.

Once the enablement is purchased, go back to the "Devices" tab, and select the G500 TXi. Scroll to the bottom on the Device Details page, and select "Install Enablement" within the Feature Enablement section.

This will take you to the Install Enablements section. Plug your SD Card into your computer and click the blue "Launch Garmin Aviation Database Manager" button to launch the Garmin Aviation Database Manager application.

Once the Garmin Aviation Database Manager application is open, follow the prompts to install the feature enablement onto your SD Card.

Take the SD Card to the aircraft and plug it into either one of the SD card slots. Power the avionics on. Within a few seconds you will have Synthetic Vision automatically enabled. You can navigate to Menu, and then touch "Terrain SVT" to set it up.
