How Do I Report a Garmin Cycle Map Error?

If you notice an error or omission with the preloaded mapping on your Garmin Edge® cycling computer, you have a couple of different options that you can try in order to solve your problem.

  1. Check for and install the latest version of the Garmin TopoActive maps for your Edge device.

    • Map updates for Garmin TopoActive maps are free and can be installed using your personal computer and the Garmin Express™ program. Simply connect your Edge to your computer using the provided USB cable, add the Edge to the Garmin Express program, and upon adding, Garmin Express will check for and offer any available map updates.

  2. Use the Garmin Map Error reporting tool.

Effective May 7. 2025, Garmin Cycle Maps for Edge® cycling computers and Garmin® watches are being discontinued. The same mapping content will now be included in our TopoActive maps and can be purchased or downloaded on compatible devices. For more information on Garmin TopoActive maps, see Current Version of TopoActive Maps. To update the maps on your Edge, refer to Verifying the Maps Installed on a Garmin Edge Device or your owner's manual.

NOTE: Self reported edits or errors do not automatically trigger that update to appear in Garmin TopoActive maps. The amount of time from an error being reported to it showing in Garmin TopoActive maps will vary.
