How can I clear the cache and downloads on Garmin Pilot Android?
Sometimes clearing the cache and downloads inside the Garmin Pilot™ application for Android can help resolve error messages. To differentiate between the two, it is important to know that cache is a temporary storage location where frequently used data, app files, copy of web pages, images and other resources associated with the app are stored on an Android device. By contrast, clearing data resets an app to its default state: it makes your app act like when you first downloaded and installed it.
To clear cache or data:
1. Go to Settings for your Android Device:
2. Select Apps on the left side of the screen. For Android phones, scroll down until you see the word Apps.
3. After selecting Apps, scroll down until you see the Garmin Pilot Application.
4. Tap on the Garmin Pilot icon, then select Storage.
5. For clearing the cache for the application, look for the broom icon on the bottom right of the screen. For clearing data, click on the broom icon at the bottom center of the screen.
