Getting Started With the GPSMAP 65 Series

If you are setting up a GPSMAP® 65 series outdoor handheld for the first time, the following will help you get the most out of your new Garmin.

Setting Up the GPSMAP 65 Handheld

When powering on the device for the first time, you will be prompted to select your language.

1. Insert two AA batteries.

   • Installing AA Batteries*

   • Installing NiMH Battery Pack*

2. Power on by holding the on the side of the handheld.

3. Choose your language by scrolling through the list using and buttons, press Enter to select a language.
