Android: GPS Position/Current Location Is Not Correct
If Your GPS Position Is Not Being Displayed Correctly
Make sure that your mobile device has an internal GPS receiver. If it does not have an internal GPS receiver, you will not be able to determine your location outside of Wi-Fi range. If you are using a device with an internal GPS receiver, follow these instructions to resolve your issue:
- Tap device Settings.
- Tap Location.
- Enable Location.
- Tap Advanced > Google Location Accuracy.
- Turn Improve Location Accuracy on.
If you use an older Android version, see Android's Help Center for more details.
If your location is still inaccurate, open your Google Maps app and determine if your location is accurately being reported. If it is not, it is possible there is something wrong with your installation of Android OS and/or the hardware in your device.
If your location is accurate in the Google Maps app, but you are still unable to locate your position properly in the Navionics® app, verify the GPS is enabled within the app. Navionics Boating: Activating the GPS Function to Show Your Location
