Upgrading a GHP 12 to a Reactor 40 Autopilot System

If a GHP™ 12 is currently on the vessel but needs to upgrade to the Reactor™ 40 autopilot, the following is required:

• Replace the GHP™ 12 autopilot CCU with the new Reactor™ 40 autopilot AHRS

• Replace the CCU/ECU interconnect cable with the Reactor interconnect cable

• Connect the Reactor 40 CCU to NMEA 2000 using the existing drop cable

• Connect the Shadow Drive™ sensor (optional)

• Connect the buzzer

• Leave tach unconnected

• Leave yellow wire on GHC™ 20 autopilot controller unconnected 

Below are the required parts and part numbers:

• GHP Reactor™ 40 autopilot CCU - 010-11052-67

• GHP Reactor™ autopilot interconnect cable - 010-11351-40

Replace the GHC™ 10 autopilot controller with a GHC™ 20 autopilot controller  or GHC™ 50 autopilot controller. The Reactor 40 is not compatible with the GHC 10 autopilot controller.
