Registering a Device via Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi enabled devices will offer the option to register during the initial wireless network setup. 

NOTE: Some devices do not have an underscore "_" and/or other special characters in the keyboard.  A different email address will be needed to register the device.

To Register your Device via Wi-Fi:

1. On the Where to?/View Map page, touch the gear icon DriveCam 76 Settings Gear

 

2. Touch Wireless Networks

           

3. Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled

           

4. Touch Search for Networks

     

5. Locate and touch your Wi-Fi network name

    • Enter the network password if prompted and touch Done

      

6. Touch Yes or No to the Help Improve Garmin Products agreement

    • Steps #6 - #9 screens to consent and register will not appear if the initial setup has already been done.
    • You may restore the device to have the consent and registration options again. See Restore .

      

7. Touch Email Address

      

8. Enter your email address and touch Done

   

9. Touch Continue

     

The Garmin device will now be registered to your email address.


The registration over Wi-Fi will only be available when connecting to a wireless network for the first time.

If the option to register was skipped on an initial Wi-Fi setup, or if the device needs to be registered to a new email address, settings restore can be performed. Afterward, the option to add an email address for registration will appear when configuring the wireless network.

To Restore the Device Settings:

  1. Touch Settings
  2. Touch the menu button
  3. Touch Restore
  4. Touch Yes
