GNS Series Repair Service Changes

Which GNS™ Units can be repaired?

  • Most product failures can continue to be serviced by Garmin.
  • Garmin can no longer replace or repair display modules for WAAS and Non-WAAS GPS 400, GNC® 420, and GNS 430 units that are unserviceable.  All other GNS repairs continue to be available, including GNS 500 and GNS 530 series displays.
    • Below are examples of unserviceable display modules which are no longer repairable:

      • Lines/Blotches
  • First introduced in 1998, Garmin has offered full repair service for the GNS 430/530 series for 25 years.

  • All other WAAS and Non-WAAS GNC 420, GNS 430, GNS 530, GPS 400, and GPS 500 repairs are still available but will be more limited in the future.

  • Database updates and technical support will also remain available for all units.

  • Garmin offers solutions for most budgets and missions with the most comprehensive lineup of avionics upgrades in the industry.

  • Replacement solutions for WAAS and Non-WAAS GPS 400, GNC 420, and GNS 430 include the widely adopted GTN™ Xi series, GNC 355 or GNX™ 375.
