Can I Transfer My Navionics Boating App to a Different Device?
IMPORTANT: Logging out and logging in with a different account will erase the previously downloaded charts related to discontinued or expired subscriptions. Upon new installation of the Boating app to a device, chart downloads and updates can only be performed when a subscription is active.
Yes, your subscriptions are tied to the Garmin Navionics account you were logged into at the time of purchase. Should you need to replace one of your devices, then simply install the Navionics® Boating app to
the new compatible Apple or Android device. By logging into your account you have access to your active subscriptions and saved tracks, markers, and routes.
Your Navionics Boating app can only be logged into the same account on two devices simultaneously. When switching to the new device, log out of one device and log into a new device.
NOTE: As per par. 2 of the applicable End User License Agreement (EULA), you can share and use the same Account with its subscriptions on a maximum of 2 devices. It is possible to switch from one device to another by log out and log in to allow for the replacement of a device, like when a device is lost, stolen, or needs to be replaced for any other reason. However, repeated switching between devices is understood to be a method to bypass the 2 devices limit, which is restricted, at our discretion, to a number of switches that we consider to be common user behavior or need.
Exceeding the limit of switches that we consider not to be common user behavior is therefore a breach of the conditions defined in the EULA. You will be able to continue to use the same Account with its subscriptions on the last 2 devices in use. Should you have the need for additional devices then we advise you to set up new User Accounts and purchase the required subscriptions for the charts to be used.
