My Mac Computer Is Not Recognizing My Edge

The following Edge® cycling computers use the MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) mode when connecting to a computer. Mac operating systems only provide limited native support for MTP devices. This means the device will not be recognized in the Finder as a drive like other external storage devices. To transfer content to your device from your Garmin Connect™ account, install the Garmin Express™ application.

NOTE: Garmin MTP devices can only be recognized by one application at a time. If you have more than one Garmin application open, such as Express or BaseCamp, only one application will recognize the device. If you are having issues with another program detecting your device, try closing any other Garmin programs that you have open on the computer.
