Services are Available for the GSR 56 Connext Satellite Receiver

The GSR 56 is capable of on-demand worldwide weather, voice and text communications, central maintenance computer (CMC) reports, and position reporting using the Iridium satellite network. The Iridium network provides near worldwide coverage - even in locations not previously served by existing satellite networks.  Services provided by the GSR 56 are dependent on the Garmin avionics to which the GSR 56 is interfaced. 

In integrated cockpits (including the G1000®, G3000® , and G5000® ), the services available can vary by airframe.  For those installations, contact your aircraft manufacturer or check your Garmin Pilot's Guide for information on which services are compatible.
