What do I Need to Connect to FAA Data Comm?

If certified for FAA Data Comm, the aircraft must be equipped with a GDR 66, the FAA Data Comm enablement may need to be installed on the avionics (dependent on aircraft), and an account set up through Garmin Services for FAA Data Comm.

Note: Aircraft operating outside Part 91 will also need a Letter of Authorization (LOA) through the local FSDO.
