(2024) Service Bulletin 24011 Rev A: GI 275 Multi-function Instrument Software Version 3.10

DOCUMENTATION CONSIDERATIONS:

The GI 275 Part 23 AML STC Airplane Flight Manual Supplement, Garmin P/N 190-02246-12, Rev 11 is required to be issued to the aircraft owner/operator before the aircraft is returned to service, if not already provided.

The GI 275 Pilot’s Guide, Garmin P/N 190-02246-01, Rev P has been updated to reflect GI 275 Multi-function Instrument Software Version 3.10.


PURPOSE:

This STC Service Bulletin provides notification of STC SA02658SE Master Drawing List revision 23. This update includes the following changes:

  • Updated GI 275 System Software to version 3.10:
    • Added ILS Only configuration for NAV interface
    • Added the Barber Pole style airspeed markings for Vne
    • Added a configuration which will not hold the manual lighting adjustment over a power cycle
    • Added ARINC Label 234 to the ADC Output format
    • Added new configuration to set the minimum airspeed come-alive value
    • Improved the Primus Epic GPS and Flight Plan data output to a PED
    • Improved the On-Battery logic to prevent nuisance instances the system transitions to the internal battery when primary power is lost
    • Modified the Mis-compare alert annunciations when 3 sensors are interfaced in the system. Now when 3 sensors are interfaced, the system only annunciates a Mis-compare on the LRU which has the mismatched sensor.
    • Modified the No-Compare alert annunciation. Now, when a no-compare alert is annunciated, the pilot can check the system messages to remove the no-compare annunciation to declutter the display.
    • Improved GTX™ 3X5 Transponder interface reporting failure in external LRU menu
    • Improved the dynamic display of the altitude tape
    • Improved the display of MACH
    • Improved how the system processes selected CRS when interfaced with GNC® 255 Radio/SL30 and GDU™ 620 Display
    • Improved the display of wind data, when interfaced with a GTN™ XI Touchscreen Avionics
    • Added a new configuration setting to disable Terrain and Traffic pop-up alerts
  • Approved a new airspeed calibration curve for the Textron Aviation (Cessna) 190 and 195 series aircraft. This airspeed calibration allows the GI 275 to replace Cessna 0311015-1 or 0311015-3 (Kollsman Type 586CK-0187) airspeed indicators.
  • Approved interface support with the Surefly Tach2 signal conditioner as an RPM input on EIS units.
  • Approved a new configuration for inertial-aided vertical speed to improve vertical speed display responsiveness.
